Question No. 19 1 min read

What flooring is 100% waterproof?

Genuinely waterproof options include porcelain and ceramic tile, natural stone, sheet vinyl, rigid-core luxury vinyl plank and tile such as SPC and WPC, and epoxy or resin coatings over concrete. One distinction matters more than the label: a waterproof plank is not a waterproof floor. Water passes through the seams and reaches the subfloor beneath. Sheet vinyl, correctly installed tile and a poured coating are the only continuous assemblies. In a basement or laundry room, that difference decides what happens after a leak.
