Last updated August 13, 2026. This policy explains what personal information Flooring Experts Calgary collects through this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act.
The short version
Only what a quote needs
Your name, contact details, property location and a description of the flooring work. We do not ask for financial information through this website.
Never sold or rented
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. It is shared only with the suppliers and trades needed to quote or carry out your project, and only as far as that requires.

Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act gives you the right to request access to your personal information and to ask us to correct it.
What this website collects
The quote and contact forms collect what is needed to respond to an enquiry: your name, email address, phone number, the property address or community, and whatever you tell us about the rooms, the existing floor and the work you are considering. Nothing on those forms is required beyond a way to reach you and enough about the project to reply usefully.
Our web servers and our analytics tools also record technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, referring page and the pages viewed. We use Google Analytics 4 for aggregated traffic and conversion reporting, and Microsoft Clarity for heatmaps and session replays that show how pages are actually used. Clarity captures interaction data such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, and masks text typed into form fields by default. Both providers process data outside Canada.
We do not collect payment details through this website, and we do not ask for identity documents, financial records or health information.
Why we collect it and what we do with it
Personal information from this site is used to answer your enquiry, prepare and revise an estimate, arrange a site visit, carry out and warrant the work if you proceed, and keep records of what was quoted and installed. We may use your contact details to follow up on a quote you asked for.
Information is shared only where a project needs it: with suppliers ordering your material, with a trade brought in for part of the job, or with a service provider that runs our website, email or scheduling. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not use it for advertising unrelated to your enquiry.
Under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act we collect, use and disclose personal information only for purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances, and we collect consent by the act of you submitting a form or contacting us. You can withdraw consent for future contact at any time, subject to any legal or contractual records we must keep.
Access, correction and our privacy contact
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, how it has been used and to whom it has been disclosed, and you may ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete. Personal information is protected with reasonable physical, organisational and technical safeguards appropriate to how sensitive it is. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise.

Privacy questions
Which privacy law applies to this website?
Flooring Experts Calgary operates in Alberta, so Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) governs how we handle personal information within the province. The federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) may also apply where information crosses provincial or national borders, for example when a service provider stores data outside Alberta.
How do I ask what information you hold about me?
Write to our privacy contact at info@flooringexpertscalgary.ca or at 4440 14 St NW, Calgary, AB T2K 1J5. Tell us what you are looking for and enough detail for us to find it. We will respond within the timeframe PIPA sets, and we will tell you if a request cannot be met in full and why.
How long do you keep my information?
Enquiries that do not become projects are kept only as long as needed to answer them and to keep a record of the conversation. Project records are kept longer, because quotes, measurements, product specifications and completion details may be needed for later service, warranty questions or legal and tax obligations.
Do you use cookies or analytics?
Yes. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people arrive on, how they move through the site and whether enquiry forms are completed, and Microsoft Clarity to see aggregated heatmaps and session replays of how pages are used. Clarity records interactions such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, and it masks text entered into form fields by default, so we do not use it to read what you type. Both tools set cookies and both are operated by providers that process data outside Canada. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and the site remains usable if you do. Neither tool is used to identify you personally.
Can I opt out of analytics tracking?
Yes. Blocking or clearing cookies in your browser stops both tools. Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics across all sites, and most tracking-protection features in modern browsers block Microsoft Clarity as well. Opting out does not affect your ability to use the site or to request a quote.
Is my information stored outside Canada?
Some service providers, such as website hosting, email and analytics, may store or process data outside Alberta or outside Canada. Where that happens, the information is subject to the laws of the country where it is held. We use reputable providers and share only what the service requires.
What happens if there is a data breach?
Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act requires an organization to report a breach involving a real risk of significant harm to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta. If that ever applies, we will report it and notify the people affected.
How do I complain?
Email our privacy contact at info@flooringexpertscalgary.ca first, so we can try to resolve it directly. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you can raise the matter with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta, which oversees PIPA.
